  • 500 litre/hr solar-powered desalination plant to improve bore water supply for stock and weed spraying.

  • The plant was installed in a small shed next to an existing saline bore.



Our bore water treatment system is a self-sufficient, solar-powered, 500 l/h brackish water plant installation at Cranmore Park Farm in Western Australia’s Wheatbelt, supplying them with water that meets the rigorous Australian standards for drinking water.

Australia is the food basket for the Middle East and Asia and is also the driest inhabited country on earth. Rising salinity problems and low rainfall combine to cause many farmers significant problems with their water supplies.

Cranmore Park is an innovative merino sheep stud, cattle and crop station (farm) that has been operating for more than 100 years. It is located 30km east of Moora, Western Australia.

The remoteness of this and many of Australia’s large stations means they rely heavily on renewable energy. With Moerk Water’s solar powered plants, they no longer need diesel generators and expensive fuel and have no more need for pipelines that require ongoing maintenance.

The owners are committed to leaving the environment in better condition for future generations, making a clean water supply an essential asset for them and also for their children.

Their crops and stock can now benefit from a clean water supply from a reliable desalination unit and the station owners no longer have to worry about water supply, quality or reliability.
